Whenever possible we reuse or recycle collateral items such as keycards, Internet cards, activity guides and newspapers.
All unnecessary documents and reports are shredded and recycled, reducing our carbon footprint and eliminating carbon dioxide created from burning waste.
We maintain several pieces of recycling equipment including Cardboard Recycling Balers and a Single-Stream Recycling System, cutting down on waste and increasing efficiency.
Clean the World has a two-part mission: Collecting, sorting and processing of discarded soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion and recycling of these products. And finally, donation of the recycled materials to domestic homeless shelters and impoverished countries.
Through EarthSmart, the primary focus is on optional linen service, reducing the amount of water, energy and detergents that we use daily. EarthSmart flyers are in each of the rooms - guest hang towels up that they want to keep, and the new facility standard is now to change bed linens every three days.
